Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.
Romans 12:9-10 NLT
What is the best way to transform a city one life at a time?
How about we try to really love others? Jesus used this model in His earthly ministry. The thing that upset the religious people was that Jesus was hanging out with sinners. Jesus never condoned sin—but He loved the sinner. His love for the sinner is what made the sinner want to change.
I’m convinced that if we really begin to show interest and love in other people, we will discover each person has a unique value. Jesus died for every person because every person has value.
People know when we are really loving them or just putting on a show. There are some people who only pretend to love others to make themselves feel good. When our desire is to help others and honor them, people will know that.
Holy Spirit, please help me to truly love the people around me. Show me how I can serve and honor the people You have put in my world.
