What to Leave with the Donkeys
On the third day of their journey, Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. “Stay here with the donkey,” Abraham told the servants. “The boy and I will travel a little farther. We will worship there, and then we will come right back.”
Genesis 22:4-5 NLT
Abraham is making a trip to sacrifice Isaac in obedience to God. An altar of sacrifice is the place where man connects with God. Abraham realizes some people will not be able to go up the mountain to meet with God. So, he tells the servants to stay with the donkeys while he goes up to worship.

When God invited us to be a part of His family, He challenged us to be holy. That word means “to be set apart.” To be holy doesn’t mean I am perfect; it means I am working to separate myself from anything that would hinder my relationship with God.
