Soaring to New Heights

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31 NLT

When we choose to enter a time of fasting and prayer, we are choosing to trust in the Lord in a new way. We are opening our lives to give God more space in our lives. The promise from God is that we will find “new strength.” Think about that a moment—we get new strength when we trust in the Lord.

God’s strength working in and through us will allow us to have times where we are flying high like an eagle. Other times we will be able to run and not get weary. And sometimes, we can’t seem to fly or run, but God enables us to keep walking.

For many, the past year may have been one of just trying to keep walking. As we walk into this new year, let’s believe God for some times of flying and running. I believe God wants to help us turn the page of our lives and begin to soar to new levels.

There are going to be new battles—but also new victories. As we learn to trust God at a new level, we can believe Him to do great things in us and through us. Be bold. Ask God for new heights in your life. Ask God to give you wings to fly to new levels.

Holy Spirit, I ask that You blow fresh wind into my life and show me how to “soar high on wings like eagles.” Help me ride Your breeze to new heights and see greater victories than ever in my life, family, physical body, and finances. In Jesus’ name, I am asking for greater things this year.
