Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
Psalms 55:22 NLT
Let’s talk for a moment about burdens.
Life is full of burdens—things that weigh us down, steal our energy and wake us up in the middle of the night. Burdens can release depression, mourning, anxiety, fear, worry, doubt, confusion, and frustration.
God has a plan for our burdens; deposit them with Him. Don’t carry your burdens by yourself; you aren’t that strong. They will sap every bit of energy you have.
God loves us and wants to help us. But He will not force Himself on us. He waits for us to admit we need His help. We need to invite the Holy Spirit into our daily issues of life.
Do you believe God is big enough to handle your burdens? Do you believe God is able to keep you from slipping and falling?
I must remind myself that God wants to help me. He wants to give me a good future. God wants to see me prosper and be in health. He wants to see me live in victory. God wants my life to be full and effective.
Holy Spirit, I give my burdens to You. I can’t handle all that life is trying to throw at me. Today, I ask the Holy Spirit to help me see God’s will done in my life.
